Ash Music Festival is all about bringing together community and raising money for charity through good music. It’s a festival for everyone of every age and it’s been going strong for over 30 years. For the 30th year (as the duo Lucky Escape) we took the identity for the festival forward and produced a range of media for the festival including the poster, programme, adverts and social media. It was a fantastic project and the impact meant being approached again for in the following years.
The client really wanted to showcase the range of attractions on offer at the festival, as they create the event with the intention that there will be something for everyone. So capturing all these elements fed into the style and how the poster was put together. 2017 was especially successful, so the same character and set illustrations were utilised again the following year. To change things up we considered positive phrases. ‘Out of this world’ really stuck as we could take it quite literally, and the more playful take was again successful in drawing more people to the event.
