Ocado Tech
The technological side of Ocado initially started as just that - Ocado Technology. However this was further split to Ocado Engineering and then Ocado Solutions as this side of the company quickly progressed. Starting as an online supermarket before internet grocery shopping took off, Ocado has always had to be pretty tech savvy. Without stores to hold stock they've had to work out other means to have stock available around the country in the quick turnaround times that are expected for groceries. In building a response to this they have been able to create a standalone system that they are now in turn selling as a solution to other businesses.
Working with this side of the business has meant working with their innovations such as creating a promotional video for their robots picking systems (which has now achieved over 90k views on YouTube), to creating a range of material to attract the best technology and engineering personnel to fill the increasing roles. Examples of this work include promotional videos such the driverless van, as well as gifs utilised to advertised online. There is also a set of recruitment assets that have been used at a number of exhibitions . The aesthetic for these was so successful it became part of the Ocado Engineering branding.
